Best place for Gnocchi in Licola
For the best gnocchi I've had in the Naples run by friendly people, check out Romario's. It's a bit hard to find, nestled in behind some other buildings, but well worth it. The sign shown lets you know to turn into the driveway, and go under the arch that says "PIZZA SFIZI", which means "Pizza and appetizers". Follow the road, going past a few trees, until you get to a small parking lot. The restaurant is right behind you. I highly reccomend the pizza bruschetta. Bruschetta is a traditional Italian appetizer, with tomatoes, olive oil, and herbs on toasted bread. At Romario's, they improve on this by placing the tomatoes on a soft pizza crust instead of toast. The menu has english translations for the food, but they can be confusing and sometimes amusing, as they seem to have not been proofread by an english speaker. As with most Italian restaurants, they have appetizers, Primi, which is the "first" entree, usually pasta, where you can find the gnocchi sorrentina, which is potato pasta in a tomato sauce with cheese...my personal favorite. Then there are Secundi, the "second" entrees, which are meats. Then comes pizza and beverages. I haven't found anything I haven't liked there, so explore and enjoy, and take a friend if possible! - Travis , posted 11/22/05
